Lake Sherwood, Lake Camelot, and Lake Arrowhead were developed in northern Adams County in the late 1960's and early 1970's. They were created from 14 mile creek, which was fed by numerous springs. The soils were pure sand, which made a perfect basin for recreational properties with these 3 sand bottom, man-made lakes.
V-Shaped Lake Sherwood was the first lake developed and was an instant success. It's beautiful water and green trees proved it was aptly named. Lake Sherwood has a Lodge, which is great for get togethers and features light fare and beverages. |

Although the Lakes are packed full with recreational amenities, the surrounding area also has facilities that complement the leisure lifestyle of the Lakes.
Just forty miles south is one of the hottest summer spots of the Midwest. Wisconsin Dells is a place where you and your family can challenge the water parks, cruise along the shores of Lake Delton in one of the famous "Ducks", or watch the popular Tommy Bartlett Water Ski Show.
Thirteen miles north of the Lakes is Wisconsin Rapids, a picturesque community built around the Wisconsin River. Wisconsin Rapids is a stopping point for shopping, dining and entertainment. Wisconsin Rapids also has complete medical facilities and schools.
Adjacent to the western edge of Lake Arrowhead is Lake Petenwell, Wisconsin's second largest inland lake. On the eastern shores of Lake Petenwell rests Barnum Bay, a New England style marina. At the marina, sailing is king.
Although hunting is not allowed on the Lakes properties, some of the best Midwest deer hunting is found right outside the Lakes boundaries. The area has one of the highest deer concentrations in the state. All along the outskirts of the Lakes themselves, are snowmobile trails that network for miles and miles. You can explore all day on the trails that seem to never end.
The competitive ski hills of Skyline are sure to bring fun and enjoyment to amateur and skilled skiers alike. Skyline, located in Adams/Friendship, is just 15 miles from the Lakes.
